London Bridal Fashion Week!
What a fabulous time we had! It was Lauren and Emmie’s first trip to the show and they were so excited.
I can only liken a bridal trade show to that feeling I had as a child on Christmas morning, that excited flutter in my tummy as I wait to see what the next years collection has in store. I wasn’t disappointed, the new trends are right up Alice Elizabeth’s street and tick all our “must have” boxes. Beautiful fabrics, fashion forward details, figure flattering cuts and drama!
We loved the boho designs that are filtering through and you’ll definitely see some new shapes in the boutique very soon. We chose more ballgown dresses than usual for us, but of course they have an edge to them for the modern day princess!
Our first stop was of course Blue By Enzoani, our all time favourite and our first time at the show since we were awarded Elite Partner Status. We are so happy with the new collection and can’t wait for the dresses to arrive here in the summer. I’m going to tease you by telling you that I’m keeping a secret from you all, I’m bursting to tell you but I’ll wait a little while longer……
So, after two very tiring days we decided to wander for the last hour and kill a bit of time before catching our train home. Now before we got to London I told Anne Marie not to let me take on any new designers, as I was really happy with our dresses but she had the breaking strain of a soggy kitkat when we found out that Ian Stuart, my own wedding dress designer, was available in our area! Fifty minutes before the show ended we had Emmie and Lauren modelling Ian’s fabulous new collection and we were head over heels in love! We met all our favourites from The Posh Frock Shop and shared a glass (or 2) with them before signing up as the North East Ian Stuart Stockist. Ian and Charlotte are coming to the Boutique on Wednesday April 17th so that we can choose which dresses we will stock later this year, we cant wait!
